JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WFLA) — A man and his son rescue five of them and their dogs from a yacht that set fire to Jacksonville on Sunday.
The five and the dog were not injured thanks to the help of their father and his son on a nearby boat.
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office released footage showing black smoke and flames burning from the boat in the water before Jacksonville Fire Department firefighters 68 responded and extinguished the flames.
“Thanks to the good Samaritans, all five residents were safely rescued from the water,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a Facebook post.
The yacht was completely enveloped in the blazes of the Jurington Creek River on Sunday.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
