Fat Burger has significantly increased Florida’s presence. Parent company Fat Brands Inc. has announced a new development agreement that will bring 40 new Fatburger locations to the state over the next decade.
The expansion came through a new agreement with Franchisee Whole Factor Inc., which previously signed contracts for 14 restaurants focused on the Orlando and Tampa markets. The new plans include a push to Jacksonville, with a place to open in Orange Park later this year.
“Two years ago, Fatburger returned to Florida after 20 years of absence, but we haven’t looked back,” said Taylor Wiederhorn, CEO-CEO and Chief Development Officer. “Whole Factor is an excellent partner who understands what makes Fat Burger a unique and beloved brand like this.”
“We look forward to growing fat burgers across the state,” added Spike Singh, owner of Whole Factor Inc.
Fat Burger Comeback
Fat Burger originally returned to Florida in 2023. At this time, the Tampa location opened in Riverview on June 19th. Celebration restaurants near Orlando continued in February 2024.
What to expect from the menu
Founded in California more than 70 years ago, Fat Burger is known for:

The menu also includes turkey burgers, impossible burgers, chicken sandwiches, and fat and thin fries, serving a variety of flavors.
Fat Brands acquired the Fatburger brand in the early 2000s, expanding its scope in more than a dozen states and multiple countries.
With 40 new locations planned, Fatburger is poised to become a more familiar name across Florida’s burger scene for the next few years.
