A new aspect of Epic Universe Theme Park is the arrival of vibrantly colored wristbands that enhance interaction in the world of Super Nintendo.
When users wear them and perform certain tasks in a video game-inspired environment, they gain digital keys and other powers. They look a bit like the magic wands of the land of Harry Potter, mixed with the magic bands of Walt Disney World.
Before you go to the Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country grid, there are things you need to know.
power up
First, buy a power-up band at the epic or other Universal Orlando outlet. They’re a bit clunky and are themed around characters such as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad. The price is $42. (There is a kiosk dedicated to the band near the entrance to Donkey Kong Country.)
The band does not have to enter the world of Super Nintendo or experience three rides. Some members of your group – very young or non-competitive types – may not be necessary at all.
The band is synced to the Universal Orlando app via a QR code on the back of the band. Time-saving tip: Download it before you arrive in the epic universe.

Game time
Around Super Nintendo World are new life games, with silicon bands allowing you to participate and keep records. They lean on timing skills and hand and eye adjustments beyond the feat of strength, but it’s not a stagnant event either.
In the Koopa Troopa Power Punch game, players must spend time moving in order to send shells into pipes and acquire digital keys. The Piranha Plant Nap Mishap has multiple competing alarm clocks. There are also Goomba Crazy Crank, Bob-omb Kaboom Room and Thwomp Panel Panic Games.
Players can also save coins to power-up bands during augmented reality ride/games in Mario Kart: Kupper’s Challenge, Super Nintendo world. Hit the target and get coins. Digital stamps can also be achieved on Minecart Madness Coaster and Yoshi’s Adventures and Flat Ride.
Besting Bowser
Unlock enough keys – just three is enough, according to sources, you are eligible for Bowser Jr. Shadow Showdown. This indoor space has another challenge that all involves recovering stolen golden mushrooms.

Block Party
Are there any famous yellow music throughout the world of Super Nintendo? I’m just waiting for it to be punched. You don’t have to be overly aggressive. The target is fairly low against the ground, and players can get responses (and related points) simply by hitting a fist at the bottom of the block. There is no need to hit the actual band against the block.
The walls have tall blocks, but they are worthy decorations without coins. There’s no need to stand on your shoulder or go to other extremes.
Reportedly, like most video games, the steps may not be detailed and require personal exploration, but there are coins to win in the ride cue.
I’ll track it
The Universal Play section of the app has a scoreboard that contains a tally of all players, with badges earned in addition to your group and beyond. There is also an 8-bit appearance map that shows the location of blocks and other items.
Power-up bands have no power in the rest of the epic universe. They’re just accessories there. The wearer may be asked to remove them before riding the bumpy ride.
