Spring is gushing out in Florida, with warm temperatures, beautiful flowers and pollen floating through the air for the Easter season. On holiday weekends, Orlando area churches, businesses and attractions plan to host families for Easter egg hunts and activities.
Here are some ideas on how to celebrate Easter in central Florida.
Easter Egg Hunt
The city of Ocoee hosts its annual “Easter Egg Strabaganza” with helicopter egg drops, egg hunting, games, music, rides and food trucks outside the Ocoee Lakeshore Center. The event will be on 125 N. Lakeshore Drive, OCOEE, from 11:30am to 2pm on April 19th. Before the outdoor festivities, families can attend Easter Bunny and breakfast from 8:30am to 10:30am for $12 per person. The Magic 107.7 Easter Egg Hunt brings the experience for kids to jump on the bunny trail and search for hidden eggs between nine different hunts. The free festival will be at 155 W. Warren Ave. in downtown Longwood from 9:30am on April 19th. On the same morning, starting at 9am, there will be photoshoots of sausage pate, pancakes, drinks and Easter Bunny for $9 per adult and Easter Bunny for ages 3-10 per child. In addition to egg hunting, Orlando launches will feature arts and crafts, Easter bunny photos and indoor jumps. Independent time slots are prepared for specific ages with infant hours from 8am to 10am, special needs egg hunting at 9:30am, and “big kids” times from 10am on April 19th from 10am to 6-10 years old. God’s Faith Assembly has children’s activities on each of the three campuses, including an activity zone, a food truck, and a back-to-back Easter egg hunt every 30 minutes. The festival will be held on April 19th from 10am to 1pm. The campus is located at Casselbury, 2641 Red Bagh Lake Road, 2740 E. Michigan Avenue, 9307 Curryford Road and Orlando.
