I’m stupid! My eyes are now in sight for the beak and barrels, a pirate-themed izakaya floating in Magic Kingdom.
According to Walt Disney World, the facility will open on August 29th, serving meals along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Located in Adventureland, a theme park near Pirates Ride in the Caribbean, the pub has a backstory as a gathering place for swashbucklers of all ages. As Disney’s story progresses, the place is run by Colonel Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn, along with her first companion/talk parrot partner, Ramie. According to Disney Parks blog, this place will be a theme. This includes miniature ships in bottles “live and engage in a frightening battle.”
The full menu (and prices) is posted online at DisneyWorld.com. Eye-catching foods include Kraken’s Catch, a cold salad with Tocopus Tentacles ($18), and Cook’s Corn Griddle Cake ($12; $14 with an extra chipotle chicken).
On the liquid side, the offerings include siren whispers (Whiterun, Blue Curacao, Peach Liqueur, $20) and salty sea margaritas, $20. A souvenir pirate skull mug is $46 and includes the looter punch (black spice rum, blackberry, lime, vanilla). In addition to a selection of wine and beer, there are several reserves options for $45.
The new book will be split into Disney’s adult mouse-driven mindset
Two non-alcoholic specialty drinks are $7.75 for a cursed treasure (coconut milk, cookie crumbs) and treasure troves (ube, lemon, vanilla cake plank, chocolate cannonball, coconut with popcorn) for $13.75.
Fine Printing: The website shows that beaks and barrels will be available during Mickey’s less sensible Halloween party. Advance reservations are recommended and space is limited. There is a maximum of 2 drinks per guest and a 45 minute time limit per party.
GEO-82 Beverage and Beauty Epcot Lounge opens on Wednesday
The Pirate Place was first announced at the D23 event in September 2023. This will be the second theme park lounge to open at Disney World recently. The Geo-82 is an adult-only spot associated with the lagoon side of Epcot’s spacecraft Earth, which debuted in June.
