Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (WFLA) – Walt Disney World has announced that a new animated adventure will open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2026.
“The Magic of Disney Animation” will now open in the “Star Wars: Launch Bay” building.
The new animated adventure is inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios in California and the Emmy Award-winning short film Once Upon a Studio.
According to Walt Disney World, when the animators are gone, characters help guests explore the various studio departments.
Production Gallery
The portrait comes back to life in a production gallery, like “Once Upon a Studio.”
Screening Theater
At the Screening Theater, Park fans will have the opportunity to learn how to draw characters and meet in real life, inspired by short films.
Painted in Wonderland
Guests will be able to experience a new indoor playground inspired by the art of “Alice in Wonderland.” The play area will feature an oversized flower garden with musical instruments, a playset for Mud Tea Party and a chillgie wood exploration area, Walt Disney World said.
Walt Disney Studios
The animated courtyard will be reimagined in the newly designed outdoor space, The Walt Disney Studios. According to Walt Disney World, the outdoor spaces offer seating, landscaping and fun surprises.
Some buildings have also been re-doubled and ready to play and dance for renovations, animated courtyards, Star Wars: Launch Bay, Disney Juniors! It will close on September 25th, 2025.
