DAVEY, Fla. (WFLA) – Discussions in Florida’s Costco parking lot escalated to Road Rage shooting Wednesday morning.
NBC’s affiliate WTVJ spoke with the victim. The victim said he was about to leave the parking lot when the shooting broke out.
“Essentially, I went a little too far into the stop sign and then we started to have words back and forth,” the victim told the news station.

A cell phone video from the witness showed the discussion in the parking lot. It showed the man in a black shirt. He was later identified as 52-year-old Rafael Javier, who pulled out a handgun and hugged it.

WTVJ reported that Javier pointed a gun at another man as he continued to argue. The victim entered his SUV and said, “The guns don’t scare me.”
When the victims began to leave, investigators said they saw Javier fire a gun with the back tire of the victim’s car.
“It went through the tire. It hit my rim, so my rim is cracking now,” the victim told WTVJ.
Javier was charged with deadly weapons, criminal mischief and assault aggravated by launching missiles into vehicles, Broward Prison records show.
