Day 2: Deputy AG meets Gislaine Maxwell in the Epstein Incident

TALHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) – For the second day in a row, the U.S. Deputy Attorney General met Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice, Gis Lane Maxwell, personally. The meeting comes after the Trump administration faced backlash over handling records in an Epstein investigation.

Scrutiny over the Epstein file has been intensified as Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche met with Ghislaine Maxwell on Friday for about three and a half hours.

Trump says he doesn’t think of Gushleine Maxwell’s pardon

“The truth about Epstein is revealed and she is the one who answers those questions,” said Maxwell’s lawyer David Oscar Marx.

Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime accomplice, was found guilty of recruiting, grooming and human trafficking multiple teenage girls.

President Trump came out today saying that he has the power to do so, but he hasn’t forgiven Maxwell.

“I wasn’t thinking about that,” Trump said.

After today’s interview was wrapped, Maxwell’s lawyer said he hadn’t spoken to the president about pardons yet.

“The president said this morning he has the power to do so. I hope he will exercise that power on the right and on the road,” Marx said.

Marx believes Maxwell is being treated unfairly and is trying to get some relief from her.

However, supporters emphasize that the lives of hundreds of women and young girls have been destroyed by the actions of Epstein and Maxwell.
“We are voices for the survivors, we are voices for women and girls. We want justice for women, and the only thing we can think of is to do real research,” Batista said.

Judicial organisation Elisa Batista is concerned about how the Trump administration handles records in an Epstein investigation, and shares his views on the issue with an empty flag that reads, “Trump and Bondi protect predators.”

“He campaigned to release the Epstein Files and won this issue. And what we’re seeing now is that he, Pam Bondi and his peers are using this case in a disgusting way,” Batista said.

The House Committee summoned Maxwell to testify for the week of August 11th, but her lawyers said they have yet to decide whether she will do that or not.
