TALHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) – David Jolly, a top Democrat running for the governor’s seat in 2026, stopped by Tallahassee to share his plans for the year.
Jolie says that if he is elected as the state’s next governor, he will make a huge stop to the “culture war” he sees from his current administration on the first day.
“If I had the opportunity to become the next governor, the culture war would be over and they were over,” Jolie said.
Jolie took part in the Capital Tiger Bay Club event in the capital, setting the stages of what comes from his campaign that year, vowing to be sternly looking at what the past eight years have been doing.
“Let local level teachers, administrators and parents know what books are suitable for academia education. Make sure opt-outs are available to families like most places.
One candidate for the governor’s mansion says Florida needs to change, but the other candidates in the race want to continue building what they call a legislative victory.
“We ended the DEI program, fought back against ESG, passed constitutional carry, passed heart rate, and did everything in 60 days.
Defended by former House Speaker Paul Renner, Jolly led many issues that he was considering changing or rolling back.
“Anyone like David Jolly, or anyone who Democrats put up with it, will unleash all the achievements I just mentioned,” Renner said. “My goal is to protect what we fought so hard for the freedom of our beloved state of Florida, but we will continue to solve our challenges in line with our principles and expand the legacy Governor DeSantis has built for the last eight years.”
Renner and Jolie both believe they are guys at work, but those who have not yet won voters in campaign trials are still not seen in elections a year away.
