TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Florida people will be able to get newer versions of the Covid-19 vaccine without prescriptions on local Publix and Walgreens.
The companies announced on Tuesday that the 2025-2026 Pfizer and Moderna covid vaccines will be available for distribution.
“As per FDA approval, we will provide vaccines to all adults over the age of 65, as well as individuals under the age of 65 at high risk of severe consequences from Covid-19 as determined by the CDC,” a Walgreens spokesperson told the 8 on your part.
After clarification from the Florida Pharmacy Board, Publix and Walgreens will accept both appointments and walk-ins.
“Publix Pharmacies is currently accepting walk-ins from eligible patients. Tomorrow will start offering appointments as early as later today,” a Publix spokesperson said.
