I have the news – help is approaching!
Faced with economic uncertainty for small business owners in northeast Florida, our farmers are fighting to continue eating our country, and countless families struggling with the weight of inflation are finally offering real, lasting relief.
With the passing of one big beautiful bill (OBBB) home, we are one step closer to stopping the largest tax hike in US history and ensuring that every day Northeast Floridians receive the financial support they need to succeed and thrive.
If the 2017 tax cuts expire, the results for Northeast Florida will be devastating. Over 400,000 taxpayers see a 25% tax hike, and a family of four faces an increase of $1,372 in median income. This is equivalent to 8 weeks of groceries. Hardworking Floridians simply can’t afford this burden, so that’s why I’m fighting to not happen.
The facts are clear. OBBB is a professional worker, professional growth, parent jobs, parent family, and 100% pro-American.
This is a true tax easing for all Northeast Floridians. It’s not for billionaires or billionaires, but for servers who rely on tips, for those with hourly workers working overtime, for families who are about to end, and for those with fixed income seniors who struggle under inflation.
OBBB provides real relief to more than 80,000 families in northeast Florida by making child tax credits permanent and protecting the financial security of parents and children throughout our region. This will make SME deductions permanent for over 88,000 small businesses, ensuring growth, employment and prosperity. We guarantee that older people over the age of 65 receive an additional $4,000 tax credit. Most importantly, 94% of taxpayers are guaranteed deductions cut in half, protecting them from preventing excessive financial burdens on hard-working Floridians.
But the bill doesn’t just cut taxes. It unlocks economic freedom by enhancing education saving options, reducing household costs, strengthening Medicaid, and making benefits available to those in real need. The bill protects employees rather than being covered by foreign competitors. Ends tax gifts to hostile countries like China, prevent illegal immigrants from drainage from wastewater resources targeting US citizens and legal residents, secure borders by funding southern border walls, and encourages American production created in the United States.
It wasn’t easy to get here, but my colleagues and I worked with President Trump to enable a stronger America.
One big beautiful bill is to provide hope and prosperity to hardworking Northeast Floridians who don’t want much. It’s for those who are quietly paying their bills, raising their families, and doing their best to achieve their goals. The bill is a promise that America will succeed and lays the foundation for an economy that works for everyone, not just today but for generations to come.
The home does that job, and now it’s up to the Senate to stand with American workers, families and small businesses.
