LOS ANGELES — It was a big night for Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another,” which won six Oscars at the 98th Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay. The film also won Best Supporting Actor, Best Film Editing, and Best Casting for Sean Penn, his first win in this category.

Earning a record 16 nominations, Sinners won four awards, including Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan, Best Original Screenplay for Ryan Coogler, Best Film Score, and Best Cinematography for Autumn Durald Arkapaw, making history as the first woman to win an Oscar in this category.

Jessie Buckley also won her first Best Actress Oscar for her leading role in “Hamnet.” Amy Madigan won Best Supporting Actress for “Weapons.”

South Korean musical fantasy “KPop Demon Hunters” won two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. “Frankenstein” also won two awards for costume design, makeup, and hairstyling.
