Coffee and Comics: This Plant City comic bookstore has a twist

Plant City, Fla. (WFLA) – Hiding in a plant city, you’ll find Plant City Comics Café or PC3, animated, old school, new schools, rare collectibles, and a tapestry gem of chef-inspired menu options.

There is no dusty old bookstore smell here. Instead, you get a floated dish of ramen, burgers and chai. A continuous east feast for your eyes wherever you see.

Diving into a comic book world business venture for 55-year-old Army veterinarian Michelle Irving was born out of love for her husband.

“You’re standing next to someone and you can’t see their dreams meet,” said Michelle Irving, owner of PC3.

The death row inmate Biden commuted to work was moved to a partner in the Super Max prison organization to help the Tampa Bay family recover after a joke from Hurricane California “Maga Dentist” last year.

The couple’s secular trips influenced their collections.

“We were traveling to different places, and every time we did, my husband, Sherrick, would always go to the comic bookstore,” Michelle said.

The comic book was clearly not Michelle’s, but came with cafe inspiration. She created a place to coexist with her husband Sherrick, a comic fanatic of her life.

“Ghost Rider Number One. This is what people are trying to pick up right now and we’re lucky enough to get it here,” owner Sherrick Irving said.

Find regular suspects, new books, key books, classics, manga, Disney and fanko pops. However, the real jackpot is not boxed in a vault.

For all the treasures unearthed here, it is more than just a shop.

“We also offer nights of dungeons and Dragons games. We want to provide nights of trivia as it brings people in. And it takes kids.

Michelle said she hopes PC3 will add a more connected sense of community and become the hero we all need.

She said this month that she has the bestselling comic subscription to Batman. For more information, please visit PC3.
