COCOA – A 76-year-old Cocoa man was killed Saturday night after his van went off the road and hit several mailboxes, Florida Highway Patrol investigators reported.
The residents of the house were not injured.
The fatal crash happened Saturday at 10:52pm near the intersection of Fay Boulevard and Deer Lane in Cocoa. The FHP Troopers reported that an unidentified man was moving west in a van when the vehicle ran down the road for unknown reasons.

The van hit a few mailboxes before passing through the lattice fence and rolling into a parked car, sitting in the driveway before colliding with the house. The still-running van slammed two vehicles in the garage.
It was not immediately clear whether an unidentified man, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered from the medical episode. An investigation is underway.
