MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) – Cutter Tampa crews of the U.S. Coast Guard offloaded about 3,750 pounds of cocaine and marijuana during Fleet Week Fort Lauderdale in the Port Everglades on Wednesday.

The seized cocaine and marijuana are worth an estimated $12.3 million.

According to the USCG, the seized drugs were the result of two engagements to the Caribbean by crew members of USS Minneapolis Saint Paul and by Navy helicopters and Coast Guard law enforcement.

“We are trained diligently and ready to carry out a stopping mission at the moment,” CMDR said. Stephen Fresse, Minneapolis St. Paul Command Officer. “The ability to quickly and immediately have an impact during the maiden deployment is a testament to the diligence and skill of the ship’s crew.”

The crew involved in the surgery are as follows:

“Fleet Week Fort Lauderdale was a great opportunity for Coast Guard, Navy and Marine crews to display ocean services in the South Florida community,” CMDR said. Tampa Commander Walter Kulman. “Offroading today shows the value of our joint joint force operations far into the ocean as we protect and defend Americans from home overseas.
