JUPITER, Fla. (WFLA) – Jupiter offshore spear fishing was bitten by a shark on Saturday, NBC affiliate WTVJ announced.
Shark bite survivors gathered to reunite with the doctor who helped them at a hospital in West Palm Beach.
This video showed a group of diver spear fishing in about 20 feet of water.
Jeff Joel, a former paramedic with Palm Beach County and an avid diver, was bitten by a lemon shark.
“Your adrenaline was getting too much, so I didn’t even feel it. It felt like just pressure. Then she released, I went this way to control the bleeding and went up to the surface. We were only in 20 feet of water at that point.”
