TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – On Monday, Bucks head coach Todd Bowles spoke with NewsChannel 8’s Eileen Natiuk in an exclusive weekly interview, “Bucs and Bowles,” to discuss the team’s 28-23 loss to the New England Patriots at Raymond James Stadium.
Treveyon Henderson and Drake Maye led the Patriots to a 28-23 victory over the Buccaneers.
“We encourage our players to be responsible. I don’t think we had a killer instinct yesterday. I think from an energy standpoint we played like we had a bye week. When you’re on a roll, it’s there. It’s good for him to speak up and say things like that. He’s one of our captains, just like Vita.” [Vea]”Tae” (Labonte David), [Antoine] Winfield Jr., Mike [Evans]and all those people. So men listen when they speak. They listen to themselves. And accountability means making sure the person next to you is doing their job. He is one of those who advocate it. With this loss, the Buccaneers fell to 6-3, while the Patriots won seven straight games to improve to 8-2. However, Tampa Bay still leads the NFC South. They currently lead the Atlanta Falcons by 3 games and the Carolina Panthers by 1.5 games.
“Anytime you have an opponent, it’s always the opponent that wins the football game. And you have to look at yourself and look at what you did to not win the football game. We definitely contributed to that. I’ll give them credit, but they did a great job. They made big plays and we didn’t. We’ve got to make more big plays and we’ve got to stop making big plays,” Bowles said.
