MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) – A body camera video has been released showing the arrest of a pediatrician accused of killing his 4-year-old daughter while on vacation in Miami.

In this video, 36-year-old Dr. Neha Gupta, an executive thrilling at the front door of the Oklahoma home before entering and finding the suspect, hides behind a sliding door that looks like a kitchen. He then puts the woman in handcuffs and then screams “hand.”

Gupta is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her four-year-old daughter, Alia Tarati, who was found floating in a pool on June 27th.

According to NBC affiliate WTVJ, Gupta returned to Oklahoma, was arrested and handed over to Miami-Dade.

WTVJ reported that Gupta first told police that she had wandered on the patio and found herself submerged underwater before Gupta first told police he had fallen asleep at her Miami Rental home around 3:20am. She tried to save the girl but said it was impossible because she couldn’t swim.

According to the arrest warrant, the doctors couldn’t find water in the girl’s lungs or stomach, consistent with the drowning, but were cut off in the mouth, causing her to believe she had suffocated before being placed in the pool.

WTVJ said Gupta was being held unconfined at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
