Blueman Group’s return to Orlando was once again delayed.
The performance was scheduled to begin on April 3 at Icon Park’s new 580-seat theatre, a new 580-seat theatre in the shadow of International Drive’s Orlando Eye Observation Wheel.
However, the theatre construction is not complete, and the official Blueman website shows that it will “open soon in Orlando” rather than a specific day, month or season.
In an official statement, the Blueman Group said they were “excited” about returning to Orlando after five years of absence.
“The group’s new home will be bald, built from scratch at the first theatre in the Blue Trio. Unfortunately, it comes with challenges from time to time.” “We continue to work hard to make progress and can’t wait to bring in Orlando the amazing, fun, iconic moments that we’ve come to expect from the Blueman Group.”
The Blue Man website continues to sell tickets. The earliest available date is May 29th, the Thursday after the anniversary. That’s a week after Universal’s spectacular Universe Theme Park opened nearby.

An email from Blue Man Group sent to ticket buyers said, “We have decided to postpone the opening, which was scheduled for April 3, 2025, to provide the best experience for our audience.” He said a full refund has been processed.
Blue Man Group is known for its wordless production featuring percussion, paint and humor by a trio of blue-skinned bald performers. The company was founded in New York City in 1987. Currently, they are holding standing shows in Boston, Las Vegas, Berlin and Shanghai.
The move to Icon Park was announced in June 2024 with the aim of opening by the end of the year. There was a ritual groundbreaking event in September 2024, but the following month the opening date was announced on April 3, 2025.
In January, Blue Man Group confirmed plans for the new Orlando Show continued despite long-term productions in New York and Chicago being closed.

The company says the Icon Park Show will feature fresh ingredients, including the familiar Blue Man routine and new musical pieces.
The Blueman Group ran for 14 years at Universal Orlando in a renovated theatre accessed via Universal City Walk. Production was shut down as the Covid-19 pandemic took hold in 2020. The show never returned and officially closed the following year.
In 2017, Cirque Du Soleil Entertainment Group purchased Blue Man Productions. Cirque runs a “painted in a painted life” show in Disney Springs.
