City Food Hall Orlando will be roaring and having fun on Saturday with the Barks, Bites and Brews Craft Beer Festival from 2 to 6 p.m. VIP guests can get in early and enjoy special limited edition beers at 1 p.m.
Sponsored by Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company, City Food Hall Orlando, and Gorsey Local Events, planners envision a fun time to engage humans and their pups.
“We love dogs, and we love beer,” says James Cain, CEO and founder of GoSee Local Events, which provides a ticketing platform for local event organizers and other businesses throughout Central Florida. “We have partnered with Barkhaven and Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando on past projects to host many community events for dogs and their people. We feel there is an opportunity to host even more events while supporting many of Orlando’s local businesses.”
General admission tickets ($45) give guests and their pups unlimited beer from participating craft breweries, as well as admission to a vendor marketplace selling both dog-related products (treats, clothing, leashes, etc.) and other products. There will also be dog activities and contests.
A VIP Brew Pass ($58) adds an extra hour of fun, with exclusive first-hour drinks from craft breweries and spirited drinks from two bourbon vendors on-site from 1 to 2 p.m.
Kane said the choice of Ivanhoe Village as the location was no coincidence.
“Between the bars, restaurants, breweries and parks, it’s probably the most dog-friendly festival area,” he says. “Many areas have venues that allow dogs, but then you have to jump in the car and go to the next location. Ivanhoe is great because you can walk with your dog.”

“Our goal at Barks, Bites ‘N’ Brews is to highlight the great talent in Central Florida’s craft beer and food scene,” Cain says.
City Food Hall is home to a wealth of culinary talent, including multiple Orlando Sentinel Foodie Award winner Ramen Takagi’s Slappy Style, Eggdose’s artisanal egg sandwiches, and Taglish’s Filipino cuisine.

Breweries participating in the festival include Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company, Sideward Brewing, Hourglass Brewing, Ravenous Pig Brewing, and more.
“It’s a great place to enjoy food, dogs and the festival, especially beer,” Kane says.
