Tampa, Fla. (WFLA) – The Caribbean-themed restaurant Bahamas Breeze has closed 15 locations nationwide.
Reports of sudden closure began to swirl after signs appeared at the doors of restaurant locations in Gainesville and Naples.
Some of the closed restaurants are open within a year.
Darden Restaurants, a spokesman for the parent company, told Naples Daily News that the closure will allow them to “focus on restaurants with the best performance and enhance the overall performance of the brand.”
Locations are also closed in Tennessee, Nevada, New Jersey and other states.
Five people are closed in Florida, but Tampa, Brandon and Lutz locations, like most of Orlando, were spared.
