TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida highway speeds could rise as new bills pass the Florida Legislature and arrive at the governor’s desk. The bill, SB 462, is currently moving through the Florida Senate. The Transportation Commission vote was passed on Wednesday. The bill will increase the speed limit for Interstate and Florida turnpikes from 70 mph to 75 mph.
