Federal officials on Friday confirmed that Florida has reimbursed $688 million for the construction and operation of an immigration detention center in the Florida Everglades, putting them at risk of being ordered to close the Alligator Alcatraz for a second time. TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Bay travelers have a new way to reach the Caribbean soon. Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Breeze Airways have announced non-stop flights to Montego Bay, Jamaica, starting February 11, 2026. The new service marks Breeze Airways’ first international route from Tampa International and the 30th total destination from the airport.
