TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Florida agricultural commissioners have told Floridians to drop raw milk after more than 20 people have become ill in connection with consumption of raw dairy products. On August 4, the Florida Department of Health said 21 people, including six children, became ill with Campylobacter and Shiga toxin-producing E. coli after consuming raw milk produced by Keely Farms Dairy in News Myrna Beach. Judge orders temporary suspension of construction at Florida’s “Alligator Alcatraz” detention center
MIAMI (AP) — A federal judge temporarily suspends construction of an immigration detention center built in the middle of the Everglades in Florida and called the “Alligator Alcatraz.” The facility will continue to operate and retain detainees for US immigration and customs enforcement, but workers will be banned from adding new filling, paving, or infrastructure for the next 14 days.
