Lucy, Port St. Fla. (WFLA) – A Florida woman has been arrested after police said she lost a Botox session in a backyard shed, leaving a patient with facial paralysis. The investigation began in May after the victim reported that she had experienced facial paralysis after being injected in a makeshift backyard med spashed run by 50-year-old Rosamena. TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — One of the largest herds of American flamingos in the past decade has recently been discovered in the Everglades, South Florida’s Water Management District said in a Facebook post Wednesday. “District staff have discovered 125 American flamingos in the Everglades, the largest group of flamingos seen in South Florida in the last decade!” the post read. Water Management District officials said more herds of flamingos have been found along the coastal Everglades and along the stormwater treatment area. Mortgage buyer Freddie Mac said Thursday that long-term fees reached up to 6.72% from 6.67% last week. A year ago, the price averaged 6.89%. The borrowing costs for 15-year fixed-rate mortgages, which are popular for homeowners to refinance their mortgage, have also risen. The average rate rose to 5.86% from 5.80% last week. WASHINGTON – The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a management subpoena to Harvard University, requesting records related to the Student and Exchange Visitors Program (SEVP). The move comes after repeated rejections by the university in order for the university to comply with previous, non-strong demands for information about international students on campus.
