WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Air Force fighters have intercepted a civil aircraft flying in temporarily restricted airspace near President Donald Trump’s Florida Home, raising the number of violations to more than 20 since taking office on Jan. 20.

North American Aerospace Defense Command said in a statement that Sunday’s incident occurred when Trump finished a round of golf at his West Palm Beach Golf Course. The Jets also conducted intercepts Saturday morning shortly after Trump arrived on the course from his private Mar-a-Lago club and residence.

The intrusion of airspace in South Florida, which is massively crowded, prompted fighter jets to intercept him, but did not change Trump’s schedule or affect his safety, officials said. Nord says that the flare may be visible from the ground, but it burns out quickly and poses no danger.

Federal officials maintain permanent flight restrictions for Trump clubs that expand to a 30 nautical miles radius when the president is inhabited.

Violations and intercepts are relatively routine, but Norad has been paying attention to the frequency of intrusions since Trump took office. It has responded to more than 20 incidents and said it is denounced civilian pilots for failing to comply with regulations requiring foreign restrictions to be checked.

“Compliance with the TFR procedure is essential,” General Gregory Guillott, commander of Norado and the US Northern Command, and General Gregory Guillott, commander of the US Northern Command, said in a statement. Determine problematic aircraft from the TFR. ”
