PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WFLA) – The mother who booked a fishing trip with charter captain Brock Horner is said to be hoping for a refund after seeing a virus conflict with another boater.

The video, which has won millions of views on multiple social media platforms, shows that 40-year-old Horner is discussing with another boater before jumping into the boat.

NBC affiliate WBBH has reported that woman Sharon Smith has booked a trip for her son’s 16th birthday, appearing on April 14th.

Their family is from California, but Smith said he heard about the video through the mother of a friend of his son.

WBBH reported that Smith had already paid $1,800 for the down payment and had paid another $1,800 on the day of the trip.

Since the incident’s video went viral online, Horner has deleted many of his online profiles and shut down most of his communications.

Smith posted on Facebook. I’m looking for advice on how to contact him. She reached out to his lawyer. He had no answers but told her to follow up if she didn’t respond.

“He had not responded to calls, texts or emails, his website was closed and his social media was closed,” she told WBBH.

Horner was later arrested at the Punta Gorda Police Station.
