(Nexstar) – After closing around 700 stores nationwide, Advance Auto Parts is preparing to open dozens of new stores by 2027.
As part of its three-year financial plan, Advance Auto Parts announced in November that it would close around 700 of its more than 4,700 stores in the US.
At the time, the company said it was aiming to standardize its “store operation model” and accelerate the “new store openings” while improving “labor productivity.” Authorities also discussed plans to open 60 market hub locations by mid-2027.
On Wednesday, Advance Auto Parts confirmed it would open 30 new locations this year after completing the “store closure phase of conversion plans.” “As part of its return to the growth phase, the company plans to open at least 100 new locations by 2027, including the aforementioned Market Hub.

Six new stores have already opened this year in Florida, New Jersey, Tennessee and Virginia. Additional stores will be open in Florida and Virginia as well as in Illinois, Maryland, Ohio and Wisconsin, Advance Auto parts said in a release shared with Nexstar.
These exact store lists were not available immediately.
However, Advance Auto Parts noted that the market hub is on track for its soon to open in the Midwest. Large stores aim to “enhance the availability of parts.” Standard stores have 20,000-25,000 items, but these hubs have 75,000-85,000.
