If you want to sell your home, you can make sure that certain features have been added.
Ohio real estate sources say there is growing demand for carports, offices and hardwood floors.
Other items considered a feature in demand lived next or near a community feature, such as a basement or fireplace, or nearby parks or tennis courts.
If your home overlooks the hills, mountains, lakes, or waterfront, buyers are more likely to book viewing.
But in the house itself, the elevator was the most popular search on social media. Buildings with elevators make more accessible apartments and houses with large houses more accessible.
Home Office or “den” is second on the list, indicating post-pandemic changes as more adults work from home.
Swimming pools, basements and fireplaces also drive searches alongside hardwood floors, carports and hot tubs.
Buyers are also keen to see energy-efficient features in potential homes, such as insulation, solar panels, and LED lights. Accessibility features are also a priority. This includes wheelchair accessible entrances and large open-plan spaces.
“This research sheds light on key features that can speed up the process of selling your home. If you already have a basement space or home office, these should be highlighted online in your listing. Booking the view with buyers and including references to local amenities in the listing description will attract future buyers. Emphasizing the view or highlighting the accessibility of the space will promote the listing and knowing that the buyer is the most enthusiastic in the real estate, allowing sellers to target advertisements and lists accordingly to see the best features of the home,” the report states.
