TALHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) – The hot tub company that scams Florida people has been permanently closed by Attorney General James Esmier.

Revive Spas and More, LLC, and its owners Dylan Placker and Chelsie Placker, Port Orange are accused of fraud and cheating ceer, which misunderstand details about products sold.

As the number of homeowners in Florida is growing, they say they skip property insurance: poll

“The company and its owners scam Floridians by selling damaged, defective, dangerous, and unworking used hot tubs. Consumers have lost their hard-earned money based on the company’s lies,” Attorney General James Usmier said. “Thanks to the consumer protection department, Revive Spas and others, its owners are permanently banned from operating in Florida.”

According to the lawsuit, Plackers revived the spa until March 4, 2022 by January 31, 2024. Since June 2022, owners have received approximately 33 consumer complaints.

The State Attorney’s Office (SAO) announced that in Florida, pluckers can no longer run businesses, receive payments from consumers, work for individuals or businesses, including hot tubs and related products, make intentionally false or misleading statements, wish to sell hot tubs, or sell any information they have sold.

Placker was ordered to pay $471,095.50 in court. However, because they were unable to pay this large amount, the SAO ordered them to pay $10,849.50 in consumer relief distributed in proportional distributions.

According to SAO, once Plackers completes the payment of around $11,000, the remaining monetary sentences will be suspended.
