“Abbott Elementary School” actor Tyler James Williams was one of the participants at the Disney Dreamers Academy session recently held at Walt Disney World.
Williams invited two students to visit the set of a sitcom that airs on Disney-owned ABC, with Dallas filmmaker Sidney Gilmore and Houston’s Zane Stevenson.
The five-day annual event will include 100 students involved in the mentoring program and workshop. This will introduce young people to career paths in business, entertainment and science, including part of Walt Disney.
Other celebrities who appeared in support of the Disney Dreamers include Ricky Smiley (“Ricky Smiley Morning Show”), David and Tamelaman (“Brown’s Meat”), and Kelvin Harrison Jr. (“Mufasa: The Lion King”, the 2024 film).
Williams has now played the Gregory Eddie character in doc comedy in the fourth season, winning the Golden Globe and Screen Actor Guild for his performance. His previous credits include TV’s Everybody Hates Chris and The Walking Dead, as well as the films Dear White People and The United States vs. Billie Holiday.
