The Infinite Loop, the soundtrack to “It’s a Little World,” gets a new poem in Magic Kingdom Attraction.
The sound of the gentle boat ride finale will change to July 17th, adding a poem written by Richard Sherman, who died in May 2024 at the age of 95. Richard Sherman and his brother Robert Sherman, who died in 2012, wrote the original lyrics along with several other Disney classics.
The new line retains the global unification of the original “it’s a small world (after all).”
He is immediately asked in the finale scene: “Mother Earth connects us in our hearts and hearts / And the love we give makes us humanity / Through our vast, mysterious lands / When we hold hands / It’s a small world after all.”
According to the official Disney Parks blog, Richard’s son Greg Sherman said the new poem was “intentionally to celebrate celebrating the song’s message rather than splitting us.”
The poem was published in November as part of “The Last Verse.” This is a 3-minute Disney movie currently available on Disney+ streaming services and other online outlets. In February, the company announced that it would be founded at Small World Disneyland as part of California Park’s 70th anniversary.

“Listen to Richard Sherman reciting his final poem in ‘It’s a small world’ before he dies will be the moment I carry with me forever,” Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger said last year. “This beautiful short film is a homage to their immeasurable musical contributions, their memories, and the myriad memories that helped them create for generations of people all over the world.”
This appeal goes back to Walt Disney’s contribution to the 1964 World Fair in New York. It was then added to Disneyland in 1966 and was one of the first day rides at Magic Kingdom in 1971.
