Destin, Fla. (WFLA) – Search for the missing child last seen in the waters of Destin’s beach.
On Thursday, the 10-year-old Trinity Eslinger was found at 7:30pm on the water between Austeen Beach and the adjacent L-Jetty. The water section is known as the East Pass and connects Choct Wahatchee Bay to the bay.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said several agencies quickly began search operations, including support from Destin Fire Rescue, North Bay Fire Control District, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, as well as local Air Force Bases.
The volunteer group has also participated in efforts such as Daphne Search and Rescue.
Boats, drones, helicopters and divers are all used to find Trinity, and the final update to the Sheriff’s Office will come Sunday night.
“Our representatives work round the clock, along the water, air and along the coast, along with an incredible team of first responder partners,” the update read. “The search operations continue tomorrow, with an emphasis on surrounding waterways and coastlines.”
OCSO asks anyone with information or viewing Trinity to immediately call 911 or contact the office at 850-651-7400.
