United States Attorney General Sarah C. Sweeney has announced his return to the charges being charged with Gonzalez, 40, son of Guatemalan citizen Timoteo. If convicted in all respects, his son Gonzalez faces the biggest penalty of 12 years in federal prison.

According to the accusations, in February 2025, his son Gonzalez learned that the aliens had come to the United States in violation of the law, entered and remained, and recklessly transported the aliens for financial gain. The indictment also alleges that his son Gonzalez was found to exist illegally in the United States after it was removed in June 2024.

The indictment is a formal charge of defendant committing one or more violations of federal criminal code, and all defendants are presumed to be innocent unless proven guilty.

The incident was investigated by the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol. He is indicted by US lawyer Aide Kelly Swanney.
