Melbourne, Fla. (WFLA) – A Florida woman has been accused of telling two teens that she “blows her head” while trying to fish in a residential pond.
On March 28, a Melbourne woman called the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and reported that she had “stopped” two boys fishing in her backyard.

The 59-year-old Donna Elkins woman told her deputy she went to the backyard with a pellet to “stomp” her with a siding gun.
The 13- and 15-year-olds told the aide that they wanted to fish in the pond when Elkins came out of her house and was armed with a long black pellet gun.
According to the report, Elkins told them he ordered them to the ground, “blowing my head off.”
Fearing to be shot, the teens said they lay on the ground for about five minutes until Elkins’ husband left the house and disarmed her.

“I have the right to protect my property and my home,” Elkins was heard saying in a video filmed by the 15-year-old.
The adjutant reviewed the property line and discovered that the two boys were on a peninsula near the pond, located about 30 feet away from Elkins’ property. The peninsula is owned by the Baytree Development District.
“I hope she gets what she deserves,” the 15-year-old told NBC affiliate WESH.
Elkins was arrested for aggravated assault of two counts and false imprisonment. She is taken to the Brevard County Jail and is held unconfined.
