TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The story is “completely composed,” Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods said Monday, as the teenage boy who was seduced by the disappearance that prompted a massive search last week.

The 17-year-old was reported missing from Danneron last Thursday, September 25th, and that afternoon an Amber alert was issued saying he might be with four Hispanic men.
That information and allegations that he was shot and accused of being accused of being accused of sending his family that afternoon.
The next day, the sheriff’s office said there was no evidence to support these claims, but the juvenile is still considered missing and in danger of extinction. Authorities revised the initial report and said that he was not in the brightly colored van, but he was on a bike and might have had a tent with him.

McSO said bikes, tents and other camping equipment were purchased from Walmart just before the shooting was reported. Sheriff Woods said he found evidence of one gunshot in the area where the boy left the truck, but further investigation revealed he had been holding a handgun with him and shot him in the leg throughout the incident.

Later on Friday, the teen was safely found with a life-threatening gunshot wound in Williston, Florida, about 30 miles from Danneron.
The sheriff admitted that community members expressed concern about the resources wasted during the search and asked whether the teen would face the charges.
“Now we’re still dealing with all the evidence in this case. I don’t want to make a statement about it until I’ve looked it up all in full,” Woods said. “Of course, my detective asked a lot of questions. [him]However, his parents refuse to allow my detective to speak to him. ”
