A Florida man was charged after instructing a disabled neighbor to sprinklers to get off the bus

OCALA, Fla. (WFLA) — An Ocala man has been arrested and charged with multiple felony after commanding a sprinkler on a disabled victim and then boarding a school bus, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff explains the final moments before Giovanni Peretier’s disappearance, the moment of death.

In April, Chief Kyle Ferguson Corp responded to the house after reports that 61-year-old Antonio Roman was intentionally spraying sprinklers next to him. The family said it has been going on since August 2024, and the Romans activated their sprinklers twice a day, with two casualties with special needs both getting on and off the bus. The MCSO said one of the victims was a minor and the other was an adult.

Ferguson found out that the attacks were very frequent, and his father put on swimming equipment to try and protect the children from spraying. The detectives monitored the house in Rome and saw that the sprinklers targeting the bus stop were turned on as soon as the bus arrived and left.

2 Arrested in connection with a body found on Gandhi Bridge

Roman later told detectives he was angry at the location of the bus stop and was using part of the driveway for one of the victims needed for the wheelchair road. Ferguson also learned that Roman used surveillance cameras to track bus arrivals and departures, and manually activates the sprinklers.

Deputies arrested Rome at his home on Sunday, and he was charged with four misdemeanor stalkers, two misdemeanor batteries and two batteries of disabled people, a felony.
