DELAND, Fla. (WFLA) – A Florida man was arrested over the weekend and after police said he shot another man with a $5 beer.
Deland Police Station said he was called to a McCave bar on Amelia Avenue, Deland, to investigate the shooting around 2am on Saturday.

At the time of the store’s closing, police said Gilbert had confronted the victim outside the bar and demanded a refund for his drink.
After the two men began an argument, police said Gilbert drew a black handgun and fired a round.
The victim was not hit as he was hiding to avoid the shot. According to Deland Police, the bullet hit an external cooler and penetrated the wall.
Officials say surveillance video captured the incident and Gilbert fled to the scene in a 1999 Nissan Quest Van.
Investigators spoke with the witnesses and victims who identified Gilbert through a lineup of photos.
Law enforcement officials spotted Gilbert in Daytona Beach on Sunday morning.
“Within 34 hours, we took this individual into custody,” said Deland Police Chief Jason Umberger.
Gilbert was charged with attempted first-degree murder using a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.
