ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — An Orlando doctor has pleaded guilty to offering to inject silicone oil for a butt augmentation procedure, the Justice Department announced Thursday.
Between 2015 and 2019, 54-year-old Nhan Pham performed a variety of cosmetic and non-surgical procedures, injected with silicone oil purchased online and injected patients into patients looking to gain but part strengthening.

According to the DOJ, the doctors performed these steps in his office and in his Orlando home.
“Pham was inaccurately represented by his patients before carrying out the procedure of the substance he was injected into his body being “safe” and dissolved over time,” the DOJ report said.
However, officials said the Pham patient experienced complications such as sharp, severe pain, discomfort, discoloration, itching, inflammation, pain and stiffness in the area where he received the injection.

In 2019, doctors offered to inject silicon oil into secret law enforcement.
The use of injectable silicone to contour or strengthen the body is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA has also issued a public warning because silicon injections are illegal and can pose serious health risks.
Pham pleaded guilty to interstate commerce receipts and provided the provision of a crude device. The DOJ said this violates federal food, drug and beauty laws.
His sentencing hearing is scheduled for August 14th. If convicted, Fam could face up to three years in federal prison.
