A comfortable weekend on Fridays

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – The skies are mostly cloudy this Friday morning, with some showers south of I-4 in Sarasota and Manatee County, starting the day.

The skies remained on the cloudy side throughout the day, with the chance of rain increasing to 30%, in a quarantined downpour this afternoon and tonight. The best chance lies south of I-4.

Feels comfortable outdoors. The temperature will warm up to nearly 90 degrees this afternoon. Furthermore, the dry air is expected to move over the weekend, making it extremely comfortable tonight. Saturday and Sunday mornings have low 70’s temperatures and 60’s dew points.

It’s still warm in the afternoon, with a height of nearly 90° and a little more sunshine expected, but with less humidity. There is a 20% chance of rain, and several isolated quick showers are possible every day.

There is a lovely wind coming out from the northeast.

Low rain potential and low humidity will stick early next week before moisture returns by Thursday and Friday.

The National Hurricane Centre is tracking tropical ways that come offshore today and tomorrow from Africa’s coast. It currently moves west across the Atlantic, so it may grow now. Most long-range prediction models bend this north.
