A big lot store in Florida that could be open despite bankruptcy. list

A list of 200 big lot stores, including 12 in Florida, has been released. “Macroeconomic Issues” was quoted in the reason why Large Lots are closing. Leave it open.

In December, Big Lots announced that it would close all its stores.

Currently, Gordon Brothers’ Retail Partners, a company supporting Big Lot in bankruptcy proceedings, has released a list that is likely to publish a list of 200 stores, including Dozens of Florida.

The company has been slowly closing stores across the United States, including dozens of Florida people, over the past few months that filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Over 400 stores have already been closed.

Biglot was the fourth largest residential goods retailer in the United States when it filed for bankruptcy in September 2024 and established 1,392 stores in early 2024.

Big Lots in Florida may remain open

Here is a list of locations for large Florida lots that are expected to be taken over by variety wholesalers later this month.

There was the largest lot store in a Florida city:

At that height, Biglot has 106 stores in Florida, the third tallest in a US city.

What’s going on in the big lot?

In September 2024, the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and announced it would close more than 340 stores. 26 Florida stores created a closure list in August, with the other being announced in November.

The Big Lot, announced in December, was “preparing to start selling out of business (“GOB”) at all remaining big store locations.”

Gordon Brothers Retail Partners, a Boston-based asset liquidation company that supports Big lots along the way, has designated Retail Partners to take over by various wholesalers in the US on Monday, February 3rd. We provided a list of 200 locations with leases or contracts that were made. Delaware District Bankruptcy Court.

Variety Wholesaler, a retail company based in Henderson, North Carolina, said contracts with Gordon Brothers retail partners would require 200-400 big lot stores.

What happened to the Big Lot? Why are the stores closed?

“In 2024, the US economy continues to face macroeconomic challenges, including rising inflation, which negatively affects the purchasing power of its customers,” a submission from Big Lot states.

Financial disclosures show revenue fell 10.2% between the first quarter of 2023 and 2024, equivalent to a loss of approximately $114.5 million.

The company also said it had “severe doubts” about the company’s ability to continue operating.
