Universal Orlando is making a push related to fresh “Harry Potter” at the theme park with a new wave of interactive canes and a butterbeer season summons. There is also news about the grand space wands.
Four new “Second Generation” wands for sale now can be connected to Universal Play within the official Universal Orlando Resort app. They offer enhanced experiences such as lighting and vibrations to spells cast in designated locations in the magical world of Universal Studios and Harry Potter Attractions on Adventure Theme Park Island.
The new wands for sale now are personalized in the Wizard’s name, leading to exclusive adventures and building house points, a daily competition between the Wizards at Hogwarts. The wand design is designated as redwood, pine, spruce and silver lime and is available for sale for $85.

Universal has expanded the number of wand magical locations to five new areas of the magical world. Hogsmeade on Adventure Park Island allows users to deliver effects in owl posts (the Pixies hide behind the package) and in Dueling Club tents where abandoned dummies can live. At Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Park, spiders are involved in Ariadne spinners and local areas of Nockturn Alley Staircase. Also, in alleys, spells can change the storms in the night sky.
Universal releases more options for epic universe tickets, hotel packages
These additions bring the total magical locations to 30 in the two existing parks. Universal says there will be 14 wand locations in the Ministry of Magic’s Magic World, within the epic Universe theme park, which is scheduled to open on May 22nd.
Meanwhile, Universal will celebrate butterbeer in multiple forms by the end of May. What began in 2010 with an iced drink with a magical world opening (a kind of butterscotch, a kind of shortbread, undoubtedly non-alcoholic) is now available in frozen, hot, non-dairy varieties, plus butterbeer fudge, potted cream and ice cream.

For Butterbeer Season 2025, Universal has introduced Butterbeer Cream Puffs, which are available for sale at three Broomsticks restaurants for $6.99. The retailer also sells butterbeer flavored chocolate bars and butterbeer caramel.
Butterbeer is currently working on branded products. The park sells souvenir lines, including T-shirts, hoodies, crossbody bags, socks, plaid shirts, pins, caps and more.
