Trachtenberg’s companions paid tribute online in the wake of an unexpected death.
“It’s so sad… horrifying news. David Boleanaz, who starred with Trutchenberg in ‘Buffy, prays for her and her family torn apart,” wrote in a story post on Instagram.
British actor Ed Westwick, known for playing Chuck Bass in “Gossip Girl,” shares similar feelings online, writing that the actress’s passing is “very sad to hear.”
“Send a prayer,” Westwick wrote.
“After the first time saw her as a nine-year-old Nona (Iggy Pop) I was a fan of Pete & Pete’s sweet, funny, melancholic ‘adventures’.
“Whenever she comes to our house via TV, it’s always a joy and she gets overlooked so badly.”
