The president said the theme this year is salute to black workers. He also discussed the inclusion of black figures in the garden of American heroes.

President Donald Trump held a reception at the White House on February 20th to celebrate the role Black History Month and African Americans played in the US commercial and revolutionary wars.

Trump has also included golf legend Tiger Woods, Sen. Tim Scott (Rs.C.), ESPN host Sage Steele, former NFL player Jack Brewer, football legend and US ambassador. – We invited a group of celebrities such as Woods and Tigger Woods (Rs.C.). Candidate Herschel Walker and Alveda King, nie of the Rev. Martin Luther King (MLK).

Trump has discussed the inclusion of statues honoring black historical figures in his planned national garden of American heroes, and this year he has said, “The Black people who helped us to advance our country great.” It pays homage to the generation of legends, champions, warriors and patriots.”

“The last administration tried to reduce everything in American history to one year in 1619, but under our administration we are the essentials that Black Americans have always played in the immortal cause of another date. The enslaved Africans arrived at the Virginia colony with the year of the Declaration of Independence.

“The theme of this year’s celebration is African Americans and workers, and I would like to thank Black workers, construction workers and all other workers. They do their jobs so that no one can do it. And we want to be very grateful for their contributions,” he added.

Trump is a victim of the American heroes’ national garden, enslaved African-American man who was injured while fighting in the Battle of Lexington, one of the first battles of the Revolutionary War. He said it will be commemorated by the statue. The president features other statues “capitalist black Americans” and major black historical figures such as Frederick Douglas, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, MLK, Muhammad Ali and Aretha Franklin. He said that.

“It’s going to be a statue park,” Trump said Thursday. “We’re now choosing the final site. It’s between different states that we want to make it very bad.”

Trump signed an executive order to create a garden in 2020, pitching it as “a vast outdoor park… fealtur (ing) is the greatest American statue ever.” Last month, Trump signed an order on July 4, 2026 for the 250th anniversary of American independence, directing the president to be an assistant for domestic policy, and recommending 250 “historically significant Americans” for statues I did.

The order asks you to create a list “as quickly as possible” ahead of next year’s celebration.

Trump on January 31 was recognized as National Black History Month in February 2025, calling for civil servants, educators, librarians and all Americans to observe with this month’s appropriate programs, rituals and activities. “We’ve signed a declaration calling for you.”

Trump’s ceremony is due to his executive order being in effect, with the federal government’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) program in effect. The Department of Defense has issued guidance that working hours should no longer be used to celebrate recognition months such as Black History Month, Women’s History Month, and National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

While some Democrats in Washington criticize DEI for being racist by Republicans, Trump’s DEI order targets programs that promote racial inclusion. He said there was.

CJ Pearson, the national co-chair of the Republican National Committee’s Youth Advisory Committee, said that the president’s policies “do not promote racism, but what they’re doing is the great Martin Luther King. – Revealing Junior’s dreams: “It is judged by the content of their personality, not their skin color.”

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
