Founded by Elon Musk, SpaceX is known for its Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy and Starship Rockets. After lift-off, SpaceX Falcon 9 rockets show a “jellyfish” effect in the sky. SpaceX Rocket launch – from Florida and California.
What will the launch of SpaceX rocket look like? Can I see SpaceX rockets in other states after lift-off?
The short answers are “beautiful” and “sometimes.” The reasons behind these answers are both subjective (biased as this writer lives on Florida’s space coast) and are almost unpredictable.
What does that mean?
The view of the rocket, launched by the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral, Florida, depends on weather and cloud cover. Normally there are no bad viewing spots to watch rocket launches from anywhere in Brevard County, Florida, but there have been many times when naked eyes were unable to see the lift-off due to clouds and rain. It could be the proverb “needle in the haystack” scenario.
The evening releases especially offer beautiful views. When there is a startup window in the middle of the night or early in the morning, there are unique photo opportunities. The rocket illuminates the dark sky and the powder afterwards makes a great photo. Some of the videos below show the “jellyfish” effect. It happens at dawn or dusk when sunlight hits right after stage separation.
Vision usually extends outside the Space Coast/Brevard County area by University of Central Florida or Orlando theme parks. , Port St. Lucy and Fort Piercings.
People from Daytona Beach to Titusville, Melbourne Beach and Vero Beach have great stripes in the sky considering their proximity to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
Sometimes they don’t.
Surprisingly, the launches of several rockets from hundreds of miles away can be seen from other states.
And if you’ve never seen a rocket launch from Florida or California, put it on your to-do list.
Below is a video of the SpaceX rocket launch, filmed by readers, reporters or news crews.
