The crew began installing a WAD (wave attenuator) on the southeast side of the Maxbrewer Bridge on the Indian River. Large concrete triangles act as erosion deterrents. Wads divert energy from incoming waves, dissipate the waves, and protect the coast and the roots.

A groundbreaking event took place earlier this month on the east side of the Max Brewer Bridge for the Titusville Causeway Multi-Tropic Restoration and Living Shoreline Resilyency Action Project. In the foreground there is a Wave Atternest Device (WAD). They are located along the coastline to prevent erosion and help sand accumulate.

On Monday, workers were trying to tow a large yacht from the coast of Sandpoint Park. Some of the boats moored on the Indian River near Sandpond Park in Titusville when Hurricane Milton struck Brevard are now scattered along the coast of Titusville, and are now engulfed by Max. They are scattered across the road to Brewer Bridge.

In June 2002, traffic will be backed up in the eastbound lanes of the Beeline Expressway. The crew had pulled two trucks involved in the previous shipwreck and began cleaning up the sand and magazines that had spilled from the two trucks.
