
A 42-year-old Titusville man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning. The man was driven down the road and then struck a closed gate of a dump in Brevard County.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash that killed a Titusville man early Friday morning. According to the crash report, the 42-year-old was involved in a single-vehicle crash on Park Avenue just east of State Road 405 in Titusville just after 2am.
The unidentified man was not wearing a seat belt while driving a 2025 Hyundai Elantra on Park Avenue before knocking on a closed gate with a Brevard County dump and driving through the road to a ditch , reported FHP.

Witnesses at the scene told the Troopers that the car’s headlights and taillights were not on at the time of the crash.
Further investigations revealed that a unit at the Titusville Police Station was looking for a car driver and had lost contact with the car before the crash occurred. The trooper said they recovered a firearm that was stolen from the vehicle during the investigation. No further details were available immediately on Friday morning.
