The Swanney County vice-chairman was shot three times in death after shooting a Gadsden County gas station several hours ago, killing two people and injuring two others.
Law enforcement officials discovered the Columbia County suspect’s vehicle and began pursuing it. He left the vehicle and began shooting, which led to a shootout between the deputy and the suspect. After the aide was attacked, the suspect fled on foot.

In an afternoon Facebook post, the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office wrote, “According to our sources, the injured deputy is currently receiving medical care in stable condition.”
Authorities said they have not made the name of the victim at this time, but authorities said the store clerk and delivery driver were killed while robbing the store.
“The pointless violence committed by the suspect left a lot of sadness,” the sheriff’s office said. “Our thoughts and prayers lie in our lieutenants, our victims and their families during this difficult time.”
The Sheriff’s Office also praised law enforcement partners, including the Suwanney County Sheriff’s Office, the Columbia Police Department and the Florida Highway patrol, for their “quick response, dedication and collaboration.”
“This case is a tragic reminder that endangers law enforcement encounters when arresting suspects, but the importance of coordinated law enforcement efforts to protect the community and prevent further harm. It emphasizes.
Updated at 1pm: Tracing the trajectory of violence that began in Gadsden County
Wisps of crushed glass, blood stripes and crime scene tape remained on Friday after two people were killed and injured at a Gadsden County gas station on Thursday evening.
A massive 2-hour multi-agency manhunt lasted overnight. There, the suspect shot and killed five deputy counties while fleeing. According to the Suwanney County Sheriff’s Office, Rampage ended with a shootout with the SWAT team.
“The suspect was shot dead after firing additional law enforcement officers,” he wrote on Facebook Friday morning.
Law enforcement began searching for a suspect whose name has not yet been released, hours after the violent armed robbery at the mobile gas station at 3749 Pat Thomas Parkway, shortly after midnight .

He is said to have fatally shot the two before fleeing to the car.
Seven hours after the search began, agents said the suspect’s vehicle was found in Columbia County and prompted a pursuit, including a Florida Highway Patrol.
“The chase by the Joint Sheriff’s Offices of FHP, Columbia and Suwanee has led to driver crashes,” GCSO said in the update. “The driver then fired an officer who attacked the vice-chairman of Suwanee County.
The adjutant was wearing body armor and suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening, the sheriff’s office said. The suspect abandoned the car and ran away from the scene.
He was later found and around 9am, GCSO announced that the suspect had been killed during a shootout exchange with SWAT in Columbia County.
“We appreciate everyone’s help in making sure this violent felon doesn’t sacrifice others,” Scso says.
A nearby residents who frequently visited convenience stores in Gadsden County said they were shocked to hear of a bloody incident, a commonly “quiet neighbour.”
A man who lives nearby said he heard a gunshot at about 6:15pm on Thursday. By the time he arrived, the victim was gone, but deputies were working on the scene.

“They are really lovely people,” he said of the owners and employees. “They are good people. The Lord will take care of them.”
Updated at 9:45am: Double murder gas station scene
The gas station, located off Interstate 10 in a small community in Shiro, was still closed late Friday morning as visible signs of bloodshed remained.
The glass front door was smashed and smashed with broken glass and crime scene tape scattered around the entrance. In the parking lot, blood stripes and broken windshield glass were seen.

The Suwanee County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed reports that the suspect was killed in a shootout with a law enforcement officer.
“The suspect was shot and killed after firing additional law enforcement officers,” the agency posted on Facebook. “All the officers are fine.”

“The first deputy of the Suwanney County Sheriff’s Office to be shot dead this morning was taken to a stable community hospital.”
“We are grateful that everyone is helping us in making sure that this violent felon doesn’t sacrifice others.”
9:03 AM Update: Suspect killed in a shootout with the SWAT team
The suspect allegedly shooting five people, killing two people and wounding a deputy was killed in a confrontation with law enforcement, according to the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office.
“The suspect was killed during a shootout exchange with SWAT…” The sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post. “Let’s pray for the healing of our victims and their families during this tragic time!”
The sheriff’s office told the public that they were “hoping for more.”
Previous Update: “Massive Manhunt” is underway
A man is involved in a bloody rampage, causing two fatal injuries during a gas station robbery in Gadsden County, and later shot dead and wounded by a Suwanney County deputy. A massive manhunt is underway, allegedly.
The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office said early Friday the agency and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement were investigating an armed robbery at a mobile gas station at 3,749 Pat Thomas Parkway.
“As a result of the robbery, four casualties were shot and two casualties were injured,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post around 12:30am on Friday.
Seven hours later, the sheriff’s office said the suspect’s vehicle was found in Columbia County and prompted a pursuit, including a Florida Highway Patrol.

The deputy wearing body armor suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening, according to the sheriff’s office.
“The suspect fled on foot and is currently the target of a huge manhunt, including FHP, GCSO, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Columbia, Swanney and Fuldor,” the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office said.
In Suwanee County, the sheriff’s office urges all residents living around us to live on the 90, east of the expressway, east of the expressway, and north of the expressway. He evacuated to place and forced the door to close.
“Please avoid the area,” the sheriff’s office said. “The US 90 West is closed between Road 133 and Goldquist Blvd for a foreseeable future.”
In a 6:30am update on Facebook, the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect fired two deputies and hit one.
“Our adjutant was shot and it’s fine,” the sheriff’s office said.

The Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office described the suspect as a black man wearing a dark top and black pants, carrying a black backpack and at least one handgun.
