The old area 142 of Cocoa Beach is renovated under new ownership

The popular bar and music venue, which was previously known as Area 142, is currently being renovated because the new owner is preparing a site for future businesses.

A real estate owner, Giuseppe Konochenti, said in a phone call with Florida to Day that the area 142 had no longer existed and had partned with all the previous managers on the premises.

However, Konosenti said he was not ready to announce the contents of the property. For the past year, the venue has been closed in legal issues and is now closed due to a dispute between business partners.

The bar and venue, which was previously known as Area 142, is under new ownership because it was renovated by the 4th Street Fillin Station and the Alibi Cocktails & Bits.

Later, Cocoa Beach’s popular food and beverage spots, the Force Street Philin Station and the Alibi Kitchen & Cocktains owner Daniel Todd took over the business. Mr. Todd, who was contacted over the phone, said, “Area 142 is gone, it doesn’t exist anymore.”

“We have taken over the site. We were there for about a week. Currently we are cleaning up. We are working with the city, the concept is. There is, but we are not ready to make an official announcement, “said Todd.

Todd has added that he will be ready to announce a new business ongoing by early February.

Area 142 opened in 2022 and quickly became a standard cocoa beach downtown. As the scenes of bars and restaurants in the city grew, the venue has grown, and a vast outdoor grass area for concerts and other events is established on the horns of Minitmen Causeway and Highway A1A.

In the last few months, the area 142 has been monitored, has been temporarily closed, restarted again, and then closed. The people who run this popular business have been involved in a troublesome conflict that blame each other before being evicted by the real estate owner of Konochenti.

“I’m really excited about the project,” said Todd. “We are already designed with the concept in mind, and I think it will be successful.”
