LEGOLAND Florida will be hosting the LEGO Festival for the second time this summer. The 29-day event includes activities in five zones that Winter Haven Theme Park touts as “bigger, louder and more interactive” than last year’s inaugural festival.
“It’s designed as a vibrant, multi-area experience around the park where children will lead the way through play, including dedicated zones, building activities, live moments, and the chance to meet many different LEGO characters,” Brian Batica, vice president of LEGOLAND Florida Resort, said in a news release.
This year’s fest will include a Music Zone (with a “Battle of the Bands” show). Creatureverse Creative Zone with Brick Build Table and Master Model Builder Session. The Chill Out Zone is a secret garden designed for a peaceful, plant-filled escape, featuring LEGO botanicals and new bug builds, plus a “Playtime with Hopsy” stage show. “Thrill Zone” is a sports-themed area. and a play zone that Legoland calls “the ultimate gaming fan zone.”
Some of the characters seen in the zone include Lego Panda, Lego Peacock, Melody Ray, Lyric Santos, and “selfie-friendly” Lego figures.
Visitors can also participate in the 3-Build Challenge by collecting stamps on the LEGO Festival map by zone. Those who complete three or more festival-exclusive bricklaying activities will receive a 3-in-1 LEGO Creator gift at the park.
LEGO Festival is included with regular LEGOLAND Florida admission and runs from July 20th to August 16th. This event will also be held at LEGOLAND California, LEGOLAND New York, LEGOLAND Windsor, and LEGOLAND Deutschland.
